ReadyBoost (Windows 7 feature)

Want your Windows 7 to work faster on your PC? If you have flash memory (or flash cards) handy, then this is your answer!

Windows 7 introduces ReadyBoost for higher performance on a tight budget.

There's an article about ReadyBoost here from Microsoft.

To my understanding, ReadyBoost converts your flash memory into RAM. So, if you have a fast flash memory or flash cards, this is it.

What you must have:

1. Any flash media with memory chips (e.g, Pendrive, USB sticks, SD Cards, etc.) with a capacity of a minimum 1GB. This won't work on external hard drive.

2. A PC running Windows 7.

Instructions on how to do it

1. Right click on the Drive > Properties.

2. Click on ReadyBoost tab.

3.  Select Use this device and allocate enough space for the operation (e.g, 1,500MB on a 2GB Flash Drive).

4. Click OK.

Note: For better result, you should use a flash memory with the capacity at least double the amount of RAM available in your system (e.g, your system has 2GB, therefore you should prepare a 4GB free of flash memory).

Windows 7 God Mode

It has been all over the internet about the so called God Mode. Actually, it's just another Control Panel loaded with all shortcuts to all tools and functions of Windows 7 which you can find by using the search bar, only easier.

Creating the Master Control Panel is easy, providing you have the Administrator credentials.

Step 1: Create a new folder preferably on the Desktop (right click > New > Folder)

Step 2: Name the new folder exactly as follows :

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

You can name it other than GodMode as you wish but remember to use the exact format. That is:

folder name.{folder codes}

..and don't forget the dot.

A new folder with this icon will be created.

There you have it.

Open the newly-created folder. Now you have the Master Control of Windows 7. Congratulations.

Note: Tested successfully on Windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 7 Ultimate SP1.

Firefox in 3D

Step 1. Open Mozilla Firefox (mine is version 13) and go to any website you like.

Step 2. Right click anywhere on background and select Inspect Element (Q).

Final Step. Click on 3D View button on bottom right corner.

There you have it.

A 3D view of the internet, meant for viewing codes for advanced user, only it's in 3D.

Use right mouse button to Pan or rotate the object.
